Lendlease Development Pty Ltd is planning to redevelop landholdings at 174-182 George Street and 33-35 Pitt Street, Sydney.
Lendlease is seeking to create an internationally recognised business address, together with a new network of lanes that links the Sydney CBD with Circular Quay. This will promote connectivity from George Street to Pitt Street, through to Circular Quay and maximise
integration with transport infrastructure.
The project will deliver new quality commercial premises and new urban places in an environmentally sustainable way. A vibrant public place will be created with new urban amenity, including a public bike hub and public plazas with dining options, shopping, entertainment and leisure, delivering a new destination in Circular Quay for residents, visitors
Scope of Works
- Planning and documentation;
- Temporary works design;
- Site establishment;
- Hazardous materials removal and internal strip-out of 182 George Street (18 storeys), 33-35 Pitt Street (13 storeys) and 176A George Street (4 storeys);
SLH provided site personnel consisting of 42 asbestos/demolition workers, 6 supervisors, a project manager, equipment, decontamination facilities, materials, consumables and regulatory permits necessary for the completion of Works as defined by the Contract.
All documentation was approved by a Licenced Asbestos Assessor including the supply of an approved Asbestos Removal Control Plan (ARCP) that was site specific and met the Code of Practice.
All statutory requirements were met with the provision of site-specific documentation, sign offs, waste cartage, EPA tracking and disposal of waste, evidence of health surveillance and RPE Fit Testing for all hazmat employees in accordance with the Code of Practice.
